Our Belgians

CH Moonlitt's Rising Reverie CGC

Arden was a willing and able partner. She was confident in her own judgement, almost too intuitive at times, and one of the smartest dogs I've ever known. She had good prey drive with excellent self-control, showed strong herding talent, and was a toy-loving natural retriever. Her inherent exuberance gave her a special spark in the show ring. She was an "Ever-Ready", instantly eager to jump into training activities, but calm and settled in the home - my ideal companion. Arden completed two legs on her CD, and had some beginning training in herding and agility. Unfortunately, Arden nearly died from a liver infection in 2005, after ingesting something dead or tainted when we moved to our acreage in Montana. After that, many of our plans had to take a back seat to regaining her health and strength. She was an awesome dog with a huge heart and strong will. We miss her much, and daily. Epix Cethern RN CGC

Ceth is from our first Epix litter. He is a wonderful combination of easy-going self-confidence, energetic enthusiasm, drive and reliability. He is a 55 pound lap dog (any lap will do), who adores people and especially children. He is a very strong natural retriever, a ball and frisbee nut, who adores learning and working. Ceth puts himself 100% into anything and everything he does. He is a therapy dog, is polishing his formal obedience training, and is helping me learn agility. Click here to go to Ceth's page.November, 2006: Ceth recently began showing in Rally obedience, earning his RN with two 2nd placements from Novice B.
November 2007: Ceth earned his first Advanced Rally leg with a second place. I plan to begin showing him in traditional obedience in 2008.

Epix Tinuviel

Braxi is also from our first litter at Epix. Braxi is intense, quick to act and extremely resilient, balanced by a highly biddable nature. She has strong prey and pack drives, and is extremely affectionate and demonstrative within her "pack". Braxi is training in tracking (which she LOVES!) and has started herding training on ducks (which she also loves). Click here for more pictures of Braxi.

Epix Arys Fides Kuymal RN

Asa is our youngest girl. Bred by Peggy Richter, Kuymal Belgians, Inyokern, CA, Asa's dam is a litter sister to our Ceth and Braxi. She has lovely structure and movement. Asa has very balanced drives, is self-possessed, sweet and deceptively easy-going when just hanging around. Give her any hint that it's "working time", and she turns into quite the little dynamo. Asa loves to work, whether for play, food, praise, or simply the love of doing. She is an extremely strong natural retriever, and with plenty of drive, talent, and style. Asa is currently training in obedience, agility, and tracking. Click here for Asa's page.

November 2006: Asa completed her Rally Novice obedience title.

CH Sidra Epix HX HS(A)s  HTDIs, HRDIs, OTDsd

Sidra came back to us in 2005 from Peggy Richter's Kuymal Kennels, where Sidra attained her numerous herding titles on sheep and ducks, as well as her breed championship. Sidra is sister to Ceth and Braxi, and dam to our Asa, and Peggy's Ch and Herding Ch Bertilak Fides Kuymal.

Sidra was an exceptionally sweet and happy puppy, with a terrific sense of humor. She also distinguished herself by being the first in her litter - by several days - to make and seek out direct eye contact with people. I'm pleased to say that she hasn't changed! She has grown up to be not only accomplished, but a sweet, happy girl, with a very silly sense of humor, and extremely eager to please. Sidra likes obedience (she enjoys anything that involves praise!) but adores jumping, so I am currently working on getting Sidra ready to show in agility. Click here to go to Sidra's page.
