Healthy Eating Is Easier Than I Thought

When deciding to undertake healthy eating, I was thinking about anti-aging benefits and living a longer, healthier life. What I found most surprising however, was how much easier it turned out to be than anticipated. In fact, once I got the basics down, it was simpler than my former routine, with its time-consuming food preparation methods.

In following a healthy eating philosophy, I believe the more natural and unprepared the food is, the better for you it is. That means, eliminating, as much as possible, not only some self-prepared concoctions, but also the many processed and prepared foods hanging out on supermarket shelves and in burgeoning refrigerator and freezer units. Now my focus is on fresh, as much as possible, and I spend more time on the produce aisle than any other. That is because not only is produce a healthy choice, but it is one of the least processed foods available.

Some great advice that I encountered when deciding to eat for health and now highly recommend is to stick to the outside aisles of any grocery store. That is where the freshest and least processed foods are found, while the middle aisles are full of the opposite, most of which you really don’t need to eat at all. Accordingly, next are some important shopping tips leading to improved eating habits and better health.  I’ve found hCG drops to be a simple addition to my health regiment for losing fat quicker, and preserving my muscle.

First, I cannot stress enough the importance of eating more fruits and vegetables. Consider the produce aisle your friend. Amazingly, I still make new discoveries there, like a fruit with a funny name or unusual look, a vegetable that I thought existed only in fiction. Also, consider organic, as well. Budget comes into play here, as I think there are organic choices that make good sense. These include tomatoes, apples, and other thin-skinned fruits and many leafy vegetables. Think about where pesticides can most easily penetrate.

With fruits and vegetables, fresh is best, of course, though if desiring unseasonal items, the freezer case will yield the most natural forms. Steer clear of heavily prepared and seasoned selections that look enticing. All in all, fruits and veggies are best in a natural state, steamed, lightly sautéed with olive oil, or just eaten raw.

Once fruits and vegetables are selected, the rest is easy label-reading. Choose whole grain products, wild-caught seafood, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products that provide protein without much fat. Especially avoid trans-fats, a booby trap for many prepared and overly processed foods. Also when buying packaged goods, look for the ones with the least amount of sugar, sodium or salt.

I think if you follow these basic guidelines, also make water your beverage of choice, you will find, like me, that eating healthy becomes the only way that makes sense.
